Our customers value ContractHero for efficiency, reliability and first-class support.
Connect ContractHero to your AI assistant—such as Claude—and ask about deadlines, costs, or clauses in the chat. The answers are pulled from your current contract portfolio, without requiring a login and in read-only mode.

Three everyday situations in which contract information goes unused because accessing it is too cumbersome. And how the MCP Connector resolves them.
"I need a number from a contract, so I have to open another tool just for that."
"For quarterly planning, I always check with the legal team about deadlines and volumes."
"When an AI accesses contract data, it must be clear what it is allowed to see and what it can change."

Your AI assistant retrieves the relevant information from ContractHero via the connector and responds directly in the chat. You don't need to log in or set up a view to do this.
The connector operates in read-only mode and respects all existing permissions. If a user is not allowed to see something in ContractHero, their AI assistant will not be able to see it either.

You can set up the connection yourself via the integration page in Settings. Because the Model Context Protocol is an open standard, you are not tied to a single AI provider.
You formulate the question, and the assistant retrieves the relevant data from ContractHero.

"Give me a summary of the framework agreement with Müller GmbH."
"What contracts do we have with Acme, and how long do they run?"
"Which contract tasks have been assigned to me and are overdue?"
"Prepare me for the meeting with Acme."
"What are the notice periods in our lease agreements?"
"Show me all active contracts in the IT and Software category."
Enterprise-level security standards with ISO 27001 certification, GDPR compliance, and hosting in Germany, as well as clear roles, permissions, and a traceable change history for audit security.

MCP is an open standard that allows AI assistants to access other systems. ContractHero makes its data available via this standard. This means the connector can be used with any assistant that supports MCP.
No. The connector is read-only. You can retrieve data, but you cannot technically modify or delete it.
No. Your existing permissions apply. Contracts and fields for which you do not have access will not be displayed by the wizard either.
Go to the Integration page in the ContractHero settings. There, enable the MCP Connector for your user and connect it to your AI assistant.
The connector starts with a deliberately small set of queries, such as retrieving a list of contracts. This set is continuously expanded without requiring you to make any changes to the configuration.
Yes, for setting it up. But not for the query itself: You enter your question in the AI assistant, and ContractHero provides the data in the background.
No, it complements them. APIs and webhooks remain the standard for automated processes between systems. The MCP Connector is designed for direct queries by humans via an AI assistant.
